Ti rendo grazie, o Signore santo, Padre onnipotente, eterno Dio, che non certo per i miei meriti, ma per solo effetto della tua misericordia ti sei degnato di saziare, col prezioso Corpo e col Sangue del Figlio tuo, Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, me peccatore, indegno tuo servo.
Ti prego che questa santa comunione non sia per me un reato degno di pena ma valida intercessione per ottenere il perdono.
Sia essa per me armatura di fede e scudo di buona volontà. Sia liberazione dei miei vizi, sterminio della concupiscenza e delle passioni, aumento di carità, di pazienza, di umiltà, di obbedienza, di tutte le virtù, sicura difesa contro le insidie dei miei nemici tanto visibili quanto invisibili, assoluta tranquillità delle passioni carnali e spirituali, perfetto abbandono in te, unico e vero Dio, felice compimento del mio fine.
E ti prego affinché ti degni di condurre me peccatore a quell’ineffabile convito dove tu col Figlio tuo e con lo Spirito Santo sei luce vera ai santi tuoi, sazietà piena, gaudio eterno, gioia completa, felicità perfetta. Per lo stesso Gesù Cristo nostro Signore. Amen.

Credo, o Signore, ma che creda più fermamente; spero, ma che speri con più fiducia; amo, ma che ami più ardentemente; mi pento, ma che mi penta con maggior dolore.
Ti adoro come primo principio; ti desidero come ultimo fine; ti lodo come perpetuo benefattore; ti invoco come propizio difensore.
Guidami con la tua sapienza, reggimi con la tua giustizia, incoraggiami con la tua bontà, proteggimi con la tua potenza.
Ti offro, o Signore: i pensieri, perché siano diretti a te; le parole, perché siano di te; le azioni, perché siano secondo te; le tribolazioni, perché siano per te. Voglio tutto ciò che vuoi tu, perché lo vuoi tu, come lo vuoi tu, fino a quando lo vuoi tu.
Ti prego, Signore: illumina la mia intelligenza, infiamma la volontà, purifica il cuore, santifica l'anima mia. Che pianga i peccati commessi, respinga le tentazioni, corregga le inclinazioni cattive, pratichi le virtù necessarie. Concedimi, o Dio: l'amore di te, l’odio di me, lo zelo per il prossimo, il disprezzo del mondo. Che mi sforzi: di obbedire ai superiori, aiutare gli inferiori, aver cura degli amici, perdonare ai nemici. Che vinca le passioni con la mortificazione, l'avarizia con la generosità, l’ira con la mitezza, la tiepidezza col fervore. Che sia prudente nel consiglio, forte nei pericoli, paziente nell'avversità, umile nella prosperità. Fa', o Signore: che sia attento nella preghiera, sobrio nel cibo, diligente nei miei doveri, fermo nei propositi. Che m'industri di avere: l'innocenza interna, la modestia esterna, una conversazione esemplare, una vita regolare. Che vigili assiduamente: nel domare la natura, nel favorire la grazia, nell'osservare la legge, nel meritare la salvezza. Che impari da te: quanto è fragile tutto ciò che è terreno, quanto è grande tutto quel che è divino, quanto è breve tutto ciò che è temporaneo, quanto è durevole tutto ciò che è eterno. Concedimi: di esser pronto alla morte, di temere il giudizio, di non cadere nell'inferno, di ottenere il paradiso.

Lord, Father all-powerful and ever-living God, I thank Thee, for even though I am a sinner, Thine unprofitable servant, not because of any merit of my own, but in the kindness of Thy mercy, Thou hast fed me with the precious Body and Blood of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
I pray that this Holy Communion may not bring me condemnation and punishment but forgiveness and salvation.
May it be an armor of faith and a shield of good will. May it purify me from my vices and put an end to my evil passions.
May it bring me charity and patience, humility and obedience, and growth in every virtue.
May it be a firm defense against the wiles of all my enemies, visible and invisible, and the perfect quieting of all my evil impulses, bodily and spiritual. May it unite me more closely to Thee, the one true God, and lead me safely through death to everlasting happiness with Thee. And I pray that Thou will lead me, a sinner, to that ineffable banquet where Thou, with Thy Son and Holy Spirit, art to Thy Saints true light, total fulfillment, everlasting joy, and perfect happiness.

I adore Thee as my first beginning. I long for Thee as my last end. I praise Thee as my constant benefactor. I invoke Thee as my gracious protector.
Guide me by Thy wisdom, restrain me with Thy justice, comfort me with Thy mercy, protect me with Thy power. I offer Thee, Lord, my thoughts, that they may rise to Thee; my words, that they may speak of Thee; my actions, that they may follow Thy Will; my sufferings, that they may be borne for Thee. I want to do what Thou will, because Thou will it, in the way Thou will it, for as long as Thou will it. I beg of Thee, Lord, to enlighten my understanding, to inflame my will, to purify my heart, and to sanctify my soul. I beg Thee that pride may not infect me; that neither flattery may affect me, nor the world deceive me; and that the devil may not trap me in his snares. Grant me the grace to purify my memory, to guard my tongue, to take custody of my eyes, and to mortify my senses. O Lord, make me attentive at prayer, temperate at my meals, diligent in my duties, and firm in my resolutions.
May my conscience be pure, my exterior modest, my conversation edifying, and my life well-ordered. May I be ever-watchful in mastering my natural impulses, corresponding to Thy grace, keeping Thy law, and obtaining salvation. May I obtain holiness through a sincere confession of my sins, a devout reception of the Body of Christ, a continual recollection of spirit, and a pure intention of heart. May I learn from Thee the nothingness of this world, the greatness of heaven, the shortness of time, and the length of eternity.
Grant that I may prepare for death, fear Thy judgment, escape hell, and obtain heaven. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
